Am I Still ChildFree?
It's been ten years since I posted the video "Why I Chose to be Childfree." (ua-cam.com/video/zoiD0uMbQzY/v-deo.html), and some folks have asked me if I still am childfree. Since a lot has changed in my life since then, I thought I'd film this follow-up.
Hey, my sci-fi novel has finally been published! Check it out: amzn.to/3Pv5xyM

    Kudos to you! Many women crumble under societal/familial pressure to 'get married', then to 'have children' - juggling a career, job/work, a balancing act of too many roles...which is extremely stressful physically, emotionally for many women. And so many children are simply thoughtlessly 'produced', not 'raised' well, and suffer neglect, abuse. People are having children they can't even afford...time, attention, money, being there when needed, and do it just to please spouses or families. Glad you are in a country where economic independence is so easily possible. I am so glad you are wise enough to decide what you have, & have a husband who believes the same. Thank you for sharing so honestly, it is not easy to do so. I am sorry your mother said such terrible scarring words of rejection to you growing up. You were innocent. So, so very proud of your grandparents who cared for you. Hope they're still around? God bless you more everyday, and grant you peace and happiness.

      All my grandparents and both parents are long dead. My mom was the last to go back in 2005, after we'd been estranged for 7 years (after my grandmother passed, I had no reason to remain in contact with her). All that remains of my family is my uncle (mother's brother) and some distant relatives in Germany that I am still in touch with.

    You are saying this as a trans man. I have female friends and I use female as in adult human female which is a woman. This is something a trans woman can never be. You say there is no agenda and yet all I hear is "we are real women", oh hunny if you don't have xx, dont bleed, cannot push a human being out of your body you are NOT a woman. Anyone with a modicum of brain matter can see that your agenda is now to gaslight us all and make us believe that BS and BS it is. You want rights? You already have those you daft buggers. You can transition to what makes you feel like what you should of been born. You can say what you want as long as it is respectful and not encroaching on others. To call someone a TERF is hateful and sexist. I am almost to the point of being embarrassed we ever let you into the community as all you have done is stir things and cause drama.

    • @Kleineganz
      @Kleineganz 2 роки тому

      You're really drinking all that kool-aid, aren't you? 1. Many trans women *cannot* transition. Either because they cannot afford it, they have health issues that prevent it, or they live in an area where it's either illegal, or worse. So, no, not all trans women have the *right* much less the ability to transition. 2. The reason we say "trans women are women" and "trans men are men" is because right now, if someone knows we are trans, we're harassed, assaulted, discriminated against, and misgendered. All we want to do is live in peace as the gender we identify as, but people won't let us. So, we have to speak up and speak out. That's our only "agenda." 3. The term "TERF" was actually coined by radical feminists. Viv Smythe was given credit, although she's since clarified that she only has credit because earlier radical feminists who used the term no longer have their writing available online. (citation: www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/nov/29/im-credited-with-having-coined-the-acronym-terf-heres-how-it-happened). It stands for "Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist" and describes the gender critical movement very well. And TERFs have an agenda - they want to make it illegal for trans people to exist and shove us all back into the closet.

  • @saraswatishaktimayi
    @saraswatishaktimayi 2 роки тому

    The transgender "agenda" is not by transgender people. It USES transgender people. The agenda is to weaken family ties, normal social relationships and identity to make society as a whole more controllable. The number of transgender people compared to the number of man and woman identifying as their biological sex is so tiny that it makes no sense at all to have everyone not only question but even give up their gender identity. Yet that is exactly what is being propagated in the name of inclusion of transgender people. It is being taken WAY to far, if parents in schools can no more be adressed as mother and father, but now have to be called parent 1 and parent 2. This is completely insane and really enraging! And also to call all mothers "birthing people" just because there could be a transgender man among just feels so wrong and devaluing. Those who feel that they were born with the wrong sex shall be free to be who they feel themselves to be! Naturally it won't be easy to fit into normal society. So raising awareness in order to increase understanding and finding good solutions is a positive thing. But making it politically incorrect to assume that a woman is actually a woman or a man actually a man is insane. Transgender people should be free to be who they are, and men and women without any gender dysphoria should continue to be free to be exactly what they are... MEN and WOMEN, FATHERS and MOTHERS! There are biological rules and there are always exceptions to rules. But the exceptions can not be uses to define the rules! This is yet another topic that is being used to bring even more seperation and confusion, just like Covid and black life matters....

    • @Kleineganz
      @Kleineganz 2 роки тому

      The fact that you take issue with inclusive language when referring to groups of people tells me all I need to know about you. Plus, the fact that anyone takes issue with being referred to as a person, as if that were some kind of insult, still astounds me. 🤦‍♂️

    Wine (especially red wine) is heavily loaded with "fructan," one of the FODMAPS (sugars) that many people's digestive system has trouble processing. Same with me.

    • @Kleineganz
      @Kleineganz 2 роки тому

      My gastroenterologist had me do the entire FODMAP thing, because that was his thinking too. Turns out I have no problems with FODMAPS though. An endoscopy revealed that I have an inflamed stomach lining and wine (or alcohol, in general) can also increase acid production, which aggravates the inflammation. Ever since I stopped drinking, the pain has been gone. No other FODMAPS cause me problems, so my gastroenterologist thinks its the alcohol itself that's the issue.

    • @susieq-overtherainbow98

      @@Kleineganz Oh right - yes wine is highly acidic. Good that you don't have to deal with all the FODMAP nightmare though. I try to look on the bright side - at least it keeps my weight stable lol. :)

    Interesting story about your name(s). The hard part is getting others used to a new name after years of using the former one (even if the names are still quite similar). People are generally creatures of habit. Did you find that people slipped back into using the former name unconsciously? Wouldn't it be good if everyone could just be called "Hey you" throughout childhood and adolescence, and then just choose their own lol :)

    • @Kleineganz
      @Kleineganz 2 роки тому

      Actually, the shift for me hasn't been that difficult. My friends switched from "Gabi" to "Gabe" immediately. The only person who has always struggled with my name is my uncle, because my legal name was the same as his sister's, so to avoid confusion, he always defaulted to my childhood nickname. He's still struggling to not use that one anymore! (He's always been very absentminded and forgetful, so I give him more slack. I know he loves and supports me, and that's what really matters). ❤
